The marina at Portavadie is expanding its offering with the addition of a spa and leisure experience at its Loch Fyne location.

The next stage of a £10m development will have a 16 metre indoor pool, outdoor spa pools, Scandinavian sauna, Precor equipped gymnasium and the largest heated outdoor infinity pool in Scotland.

Both sail and powerboat users will be able to swim in Portavadie’s outdoor pools or enjoy a relaxing massage while marvelling at the breath-taking views across Loch Fyne to the Isle of Arran.  Once relaxed, guests can try some of Loch Fyne’s world famous seafood and the highest quality Argyll produce in a choice of restaurants.

Portavadie’s new offering will be available to all berth holders and guest boats choosing to stay overnight, with special packages available to take advantage of both the berthing and leisure facilities.  A year’s leisure membership for a couple and berthing for a 12-metre yacht will cost from less than £4,000.

Iain Jurgensen, general manager, said: “Berthing a boat at Portavadie offers sailors the chance to use their on board accommodation, whilst also taking advantage of our fantastic range of shore side facilities and the world class sailing waters of Loch Fyne.

“We have been on a journey of discovery in creating this stunning Spa and Leisure experience, driven by our passion to create something truly special for our guests to enjoy time and time again.

“It’s a wonderful, light-filled, modern facility that brings something totally unique to the west coast of Scotland. From the superb infinity pool to the tranquil relaxation spaces, we’re offering the ultimate in luxury and reward for our guests. I am proud to see it open at Portavadie and we look forward to welcoming berth holders and sea goers from further afield.”

Built using glass, steel, stone, and neutral tones, the new complex has also been created with the environment in mind and is powered by a woodchip biomass generator. In line with its luxurious surroundings, the spa will also use Decleor and Ishga product houses, incorporating bespoke signature treatments.
