Scotland’s Boat Show (SBS14) takes place at Kip Marina, Inverkip on the 10th, 11th & 12th of October and has been designated a ‘Homecoming Scotland 2014 Official Event’ as visitors from around the world are expected to attend this year’s show after the global promotion by Event Scotland celebrating the best of the nation’s active pursuits, food and drink.
With new boats from Hanse, Dehler, Beneteau, Bavaria, & Sunseeker plus RIB’s, Nautique ski boats & jet skis together with predicted record numbers of high quality pre-owned boats for sale from £1,000 to £1 million there will be something for every budget to delight visitors who make the journey to Inverclyde’s Kip Marina.
Kip Marina Managing Director Gavin McDonagh said “We are delighted to announce that Scotland’s Boat Show this year has again been expanded and is now recognised both by the industry and customers alike as the premier event in Scotland for boating. We are all proud that the Show drives around 15,000 people from all over the UK and Ireland to Inverclyde and given the right weather where better to be than Inverkip in October!”
On shore the centerpiece RYA Scotland Marquee will be filled with marine trade exhibitors showcasing the latest trends and developments in marine and leisure products from local and UK wide companies, many of whom are heading to SBS14 straight from the Southampton show, while in the RYA Scotland Theatre there will be the option to sign up for on-water taster sessions of power and sail for those looking to try boats and boating for the first time, plus a series of presentations and lectures to entertain and inform.
RYA Scotland Communication & Marketing Manager said “As a main sponsor of the show again this year, we are really excited to offer a wide range of talks and activities to suit all different levels of experience and even for those who have never been out on the water. The small access dinghies provided by Castle Semple Regional Park were a huge success last year so we hope lots of youngsters will grab the opportunity to get out on the water this time. The Clipper Venture team will be doing talks on all three days of the show as well as giving guided tours of their Clipper 70 yacht. This is a fantastic opportunity to listen to people who have raced around the world as well as getting to step on board for a look around the Clipper yacht. Come to the RYA Scotland stand to hello and also get more information”
One of the highlights of last year’s show were the spectacular demonstrations of Flyboarding from Mike Dear of WetJets and this year as well as watching for the more adventurous visitor there will be the chance to try this exciting new sport for themselves!
