Welcome to our Guide to Sailing Scotland film gallery. We have stunning aerial footage from locations around the coast and islands of Scotland from Edinburgh, East Coast, Inverness, Orkney, the Outer Hebrides, North West Scotland, Argyll and the Isles and The Firth of Clyde. Each short film gives a birds eye view of sailing destinations highlighting both marine facilities and shoreside features.

Argyll and the Islands
Puilladobhrain
One of Scotland’s classic anchorages. Great pub nearby, close to Oban and within easy reach of Tobermory.
Oban
All tide step ashore facilities in the heart of this famous west coast hub. Air, train and ferry links nearby.
Ardfern
One of Scotland’s most picturesque, sheltered, sea lochs, located at the head of Loch Craignish. Ardfern has all the facilities and amenities you might require.
Craobh
Stunning location, with 250 berths and many amenities including the Lord of the Isles bar and restaurant.
Ulva Ferry Pontoon
A small secluded location, with a pontoon for 8 visiting boats. From here you can visit Mull, Iona and Staffa.
Tobermory
One of Scotland’s most photographed locations, on the isle of Mull. The harbour is within walking distance of the town for all amenities.
Campbeltown
Campbeltown marina is a great place for a stop-over when rounding the Mull of Kintyre. Local shops, distilleries and shoreside experiences are all close at hand.
Tarbert, Loch Fyne
A sheltered harbour at the heart of the village. Tarbert marina has berths for over 200 boats and is within easy walking distance to the town centre.
Holy Loch
A scenic and peaceful location in the Cowal Peninsula, on the River Clyde.
Portavadie
Set in a protected lagoon, on Loch Fyne, in Scotland’s West Coast.
Staffa
Home to the famous Fingal’s Cave and thousands of puffins, it is a must see location on Scotland’s West Coast.
Coll
A stunning, small island, located just 4 miles west of Mull, with welcoming anchorages.
Dunstaffnage
Ideally located, just 3 miles from Oban in beautiful surroundings. Offering pontoons and moorings the marina has all the facilities you need.Â
Orkney and Shetland
Stromness
An ideal all-tide marina for exploring Orkney. Stromness sits within a beautiful town shaped by the sea.
Kirkwall
A sheltered harbour in the main town on the Orkney Islands. Withing walking distance to the historical town centre.
Westray
Orkney’s most northerly marina on the island of Westray, a thriving island with stunning scenery, historical interest and spectacular wildlife.
Lerwick
The main marina in Shetland, situated just 2km from the town centre. The marina offers full facilities.Â
Whalsay/Symbister
An island with a rich fishing heritage. A welcome stop for sailors and a great viewing point for wildlife watching.
Scalloway
A sheltered harbour, offering a range of facilities within East Voe Marina, Blacksness Pier and the local boating club.Â

Plockton
A great place to stop over for exploring Skye and northwest Scotland when passage making to the north or south.
Mallaig
All-tide marina in the heart of Mallaig. Ideal location for exploring Skye, the Outer Hebrides and northwest Scotland. Train and ferry links.
Arisaig
An ideal scenic location from which to explore the North West coast, the Hebrides and Skye.
Portree
A small busy port on the North-East of Skye offering visitors plenty of amenities and facilities.
Stornoway
The main port situated at the town of Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis. Direct access to the town centre and all the facilities it has to offer.
Harris
A small marina in the town of Tarbert with a 26 berth pontoon and facilities. Directly adjacent to the Harris Distillery.
Lochinver
Offering a tranquil Highland setting in Scotland’s North West Coast. 40 miles south of Cape Wrath.
Ullapool
Nestled on the shores of Loch Broom, the gateway to the Northern Highlands, Ullapool is a small marina with moorings and facilities within reach.
Stornoway
The main port situated at the town of Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis. Direct access to the town centre and all the facilities it has to offer.
Harris
A small marina in the town of Tarbert with a 26 berth pontoon and facilities. Directly adjacent to the Harris Distillery.
Iona
Home to Iona Abbey and stunning beaches, this is idyllic location is part of the National Trust for Scotland.
Inverewe, Garden and Estate
Home to a remote gardens and wildlife trips on the shores of Loch Ewe, Inverewe is within a Marine protected area.Â
St Kilda
A UNESCO World heritage site, this is a unique, remote, location famous for it’s millions of sea birds.
Canna
The Isle of Canna offers moorings and anchorage, a National Trust for Scotland location, it is a beautiful island to explore.
Scavaig
A quiet, peaceful anchorage at the foot of the Cuillin mountains in Skye. Come ashore for hill walking and explore the rugged landscape.
Mingulay
Situated on the very edge of the Outer Hebridies, the island offers stunning, secluded beaches and quiet anchorages.
Firth of Clyde

Largs Yacht Haven
A large marina of the Firth of Clyde with access to many facilities including a sailing school.

A small harbour situated within walking distance of the town centre.
Troon Marina
An ideal on the Clyde Estuary location for entering the Clyde or heading further afield to Ireland or the South.
East Coast
Port Edgar
Port Edgar is Scotland’s largest east coast marina with great amenities and facilities and only 30 mins from Edinburgh
Inverness
An ideal east coast location before entering The Caledonian Canal. All tide access in the heart of  Inverness
Arbroath
A sheltered sea wall harbour on the East Coast with direct access to the town centre and famous seafood.
Wick
Situated on the North East coast, an ideal location to explore the Northern Isles. Wick marina is within easy reach of the town with all its amenities.
Ullapool
Nestled on the shores of Loch Broom with all the amenities and facilities you would need.
Whitehills
An award winning locally owned marina situated on the North East coast offering a range of facilities, within easy reach of the local village.Â
Nairn
A relaxing seaside location, this historic fishing port has been transformed into a modern day leisure harbour.

Caledonian Canal
Entrance to the epic Caledonian Canal connecting the East Coast to Loch Ness, Fort William and the West Coast.
Crinan Canal
This stunning canal offers a short cut through the rugged Kyle Pennisula, at just 9 miles long you can take it as slow as you like.
