Sail Scotland is celebrating Scotland’s Year of Food & Drink 2015 by offering free membership to businesses who sign up for their new associate membership!

The national sailing and boating marketing organisation – Sail Scotland – has been working with food producers and businesses to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Food & Drink 2015 at Boat Show in the UK and Europe over the past few weeks.

The feedback has been incredible so they have decided to go one step further to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Food & Drink by launching a new associate membership scheme to link up sailing visitors with the wonderful things to do and places to eat around Scotland.

The first 100 businesses to signup will receive associate membership totally FREE FOR 6 MONTHS with no commitment. Simply visit the membership page on the Sail Scotland website, and signup for an Associate Membership by completing your details.

Sail Scotland Chief Executive, Daniel Steel, said: “We want as many great businesses as possible to be found quickly and easily by the tens of thousands of visitors coming to our website. So the Year of Food and Drink seemed like the perfect opportunity to give businesses a chance to get their business in front of the lucrative and growing sailing audience we reach.

We are not only limiting this to cafes and restaurants. Associate Membership is open to organisations who provide hospitality, activities and attractions, retail, and specialist services for sailing visitors. Typically this includes hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants, visitor attractions, activity providers, chandlers, general retailers, boat maintenance, etc.

This is a fantastic offer of free marketing so we would urge businesses to move fast, as it will be on a first come, first served basis.”

Businesses who sign up will be added to Sail Scotland’s interactive map, and once membership is confirmed you can create and control your own unique page on the Sail Scotland site – putting you in front of thousands of potential sailing visitors looking for great tastes and experiences when they sail Scotland.
