Digital Campaign Encourages UK Market to Sail Scotland
Sail Scotland has successfully delivered a digital campaign encouraging people to view sailing, charter and marina offers available for 2024.
The campaign, which was promoting members offers, ran from 10 – 26 September, reached over 57,000 Facebook user and generated over 2,000 visits to the website.
By utilising Facebook and Google Ads the aim was to reach audiences with an interest in sailing who were geographically placed in the South of England, during the time of the Southampton International Boat Show. Around 40,000 people attend the annual Boat Show therefore this was a key audience to target with the campaign.
Sail Scotland continually promotes the natural assets Scotland has to offer from lochs and rivers to stunning coastline. Over the past 2 years the social media reach has grown by 12% to over 25,000 followers.
Daniel Steel, CEO of Sail Scotland, said “The UK continues to be our key market for sailing in Scotland, so we are not surprised to see the strong results from our digital campaign from boaters who share our members’ passion for all that our country offers.
We know we have some of the best cruising waters in the world, with clear and uncrowded seas to attractions, facilities, and eateries – but we also know that some of our visitors need a reminder to venture north again since the pandemic. So, it’s been a pleasure to whet their appetite to Sail Scotland, and we look forward to welcoming them throughout 2024.”
