We are delighted to see that our member, Troon Yacht Haven, has been awarded runner up in the UK Marina Of The Year 2022 awards.

The award for the Ayrshire marina comes after a sustained period of investment in new facilities including a berth holder lounge, upgraded laundrette and the opening of the new marina hotel, The Salt Lodge.

The investment, which totals over £1.4million, has seen rewards with the marina reporting an increase in berth holders as well as national and international recognition including the prestigious Five Gold Anchor recognition and a Scottish Parliamentary Motion of commendation.

“It’s a real honour to receive this award from The Yacht Harbour Association”, comments Marina Director Stephen Bennie. “It’s been a rewarding year with new customers visiting our marina and increased occupancy at our hotel, The Salt Lodge.”

The Marina Of The Year award were presented at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show. TYHA General Manager, Jon White and Chair, Colin Watts, were joined by representatives from many of the 160 plus Gold Anchor accredited marinas from around the world hoping to clinch one of the coveted awards.

Representing Troon Yacht Haven at the awards was Sarah Ogilvie, Assistant Marina Manager at Troon Yacht Haven.
