Reassuringly sound, sturdy, and seaworthy, Red Moon will carry you safely wherever you wish to explore around Skye, Lochalsh, the Small Isles and Scottish West coast in comfort and style.

Red Moon is, we believe, the perfect compromise for cruising in the Scottish Western Isles. She is small enough in length and draught to slip into otherwise inaccessible anchorages and remote coves. Everyone who comes on board loves her spacious and invitingly comfortable accommodation which can sleep up to four guests entirely separate from the crew’s quarters. The cabins are craftsman-finished with bespoke light oak fittings in a welcoming contemporary style.

All our guests appreciate her well-appointed galley and saloon which is a bright and airy hub for relaxation, chatting and dining, with wide viewing windows (useful on those rare occasions when it rains here!). They enjoy sharing the the large wheelhouse which offers further room to gather in and a great viewing platform when we are underway. There is also ample deck space and outside seating to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or simply drink in the ever-changing scenery.

Red Moon is powered by a fine Gardner engine, renowned for its reliability and economy. However, unusually among cruise charter vessels she is also rigged for sailing.

Whether you are seasoned seafarers or wish to enjoy the novelty of appreciating the magnificent landscapes from a different perspective, she offers an experience to treasure – and you will become part of a new chapter in this boat’s fascinating history.

She is perfect for groups of friends, families or couples; a private voyage ‘home from home’ to sail where you wish, with superb customer service – relaxing, friendly yet discreet….and offering delicious locally-sourced food freshly prepared on board!

On Red Moon Cruises, guests can chose to help to navigate, steer the vessel, hoist sails, or just sit back and relax and enjoy a bit of pampering whilst watching out for the abundant, but sometimes elusive, wildlife which lives around the West Scottish coast and islands.
